Buying Options
The Dayton Audio LBB-5EB expansion board gives you an extra 2.1 x 5.5 mm power input jack, plus two USB-A ports for charging smartphones, tablets, and other 5 VDC devices. This enables you to charge the 5-cell Dayton Audio battery boards buried in a project, plus power or charge 5 VDC devices.
Mount the expansion board externally by drilling a 0.31" hole for the power jack, 0.19" hole for the LED and cutting a 0.62" H x 0.58" W hole for the USB ports. You'll also need two standoffs for the two 0.14" mounting holes that are spread 2.12" apart to center. Standoff height will depend on your panel thickness. The small 2.4" x 1.8" board includes a 6-pin 8" wiring harness that plugs directly J-28 socket on the LBB-5 battery board, and J-9 on the LBB-5S battery board.
