The polypropylene cone provides excellent internal damping while resisting environmental changes that can affect paper-based diaphragms. The PCS175-8 is a direct replacement woofer for the Dayton Audio T65 tower speaker, making it a perfect replacement driver for repairing or restoring T65 floorstanding speakers.

A rubber surround allows controlled excursion while helping maintain long-term durability. The suspension system includes a large diameter flat spider that stabilizes the moving assembly and keeps the voice coil properly aligned during operation. The ferrite motor assembly drives a four-layer voice coil wound on an aluminum former, improving thermal stability and allowing the driver to maintain consistent output during extended playback.

Mounted in a rigid stamped steel frame with a low-profile lip suitable for surface mounting, the PCS175-8 integrates easily into many enclosure designs.
